I decided to take a long, slow climb for day 3. And climb I did!

Experience
I climbed and the evening creeped forward. I worried about getting too cold on the way back down.
I didn’t get too cold on the way back down. The descent wasn’t as epic as I imagined.
Vehicles passed too close and foo fast. It was rush hour and there wasn’t much shoulder. I can see why this isn’t a very popular bike route.
Weather
Cool and slightly humid.
Spotted
Some cool rock faces and wildflowers.
Roads
Smooth, but not enough shoulder.
